ABOUT THE ACADEMY

Learn your deen — deeply, and for life.

HOW WE TEACH

Knowledge should never feel out of reach.

Too many women want to study their faith seriously but can’t find a way in. Our teaching is built to remove every barrier between you and authentic knowledge.

Structured, not scattered

A clear path from your first lesson to genuine scholarship — every subject sequenced, with materials, timetables and milestones, so you always know where you are.

Accessible from day one

You don't need Arabic to start. Everything is scaffolded and taught in English, building your language and your knowledge side by side.

Designed for real life

Built for women balancing family, work and study. Learn live, catch up on recordings, and move at a pace that respects the life you already lead.

Authentic & trusted

Classical sciences taught faithfully by qualified teachers, in a supportive community of sisters who carry the journey with you.

LED BY AN EDUCATOR

Maryam Alsamarrai

Al-Husnaa’s founder and lead educator, Maryam has spent more than sixteen years teaching, mentoring and designing Islamic education for women and young people across the UK and beyond.

She built the Academy because she saw capable, faithful women turned away by knowledge that felt locked behind language and rigidity. Her answer was a curriculum that keeps the depth and removes the barriers.

“I wanted women to learn deeply — without leaving their faith, or their lives, at the door.”

THE CURRICULUM

Six disciplines. One coherent foundation.

Each subject strengthens the others — recitation feeds understanding, language unlocks the texts, and character turns knowledge into a way of living.

Q

Qur'an & Tajwīd

Beautiful, accurate recitation — connecting your tongue and heart to the words of Allah.

C

Classical Arabic

From the alphabet to grammar and reading — the key that opens the primary sources.

T

Tafsīr & Tadabbur

Reflective study of the Qur’an — uncovering meaning, guidance and lessons for life.

H

Hadith Sciences

The Prophetic tradition — how it was preserved, understood and applied.

A

ʿAqīdah & Fiqh

Sound belief and confident practice — the what and the how of a faithful life.

S

Seerah & Adab

Prophetic character and manners — turning what you learn into who you are.

Community voices

Real women. Real transformation.

Hear from the women and families who have already taken the step.

“Al-Husnaa gave me more than knowledge — it gave me a sense of self I didn’t know I was missing. The Alimah classes completely changed how I see my deen and my role as a woman.”
